Sweet

So maybe it won't be quite as bad as I was ranting about yesterday.

Also, on a NSFW topic, we were discussing the decadent aspects of U.S. society. Someone felt the need to provide documented proof and linked this.

I forgot to talk about D&D two weeks ago. Basically, I can't remember anything that happened except a little event in which we recreated a scene from Army of Darkness. This old woman was hanging out in an evil undead dungeon playing with a corpse. She greeted us warmly, teased our dwarf, and then went into a deep discussion with my cleric regarding their great improvements in the quality of their evil undead hordes.
So the DM was trying to make her indearing to us, no doubt to backstab us with her later, but made the mistake of teasing the dwarf a bit too far. My cleric had no intention of keeping the hag alive (competition!) and distracted her long enough to bluff a secret message to the dwarf: "It's a trick, get an axe".

And then he chopped her three times in the back. I imagine her keeling over like Grounds Keeper Willy in that Shining spoof in the Simpsons.

This week, I intend to have my dragon bite someone in the face. See, he rides on my shoulder so he's already at face biting level and all it should take is a feint from my cleric to leave an opponent open for a nice toothy sneak attack. Don't forget the Con damage!

Posting from work on my break because this is absolutely rediculous:
We have performance based shift bids. This means that the better employee we are, the better shift we get to choose. Seniority plays a part, but mostly your phone stats and attendance determines your rank.

Last week, an email was sent out by management asking for volunteers to change their shifts to work Saturdays because our site attendance sucks. Basically, they were asking for people to drop their current shift and start working Saturdays because the people already scheduled for Sat (probably because they didn't do so well on the last shift bid!) ARE NOT SHOWING UP.

According to an email we received today, only 1 person volunteered. So now they aren't asking They are requiring supervisors to rank their agents on performance and those best agents will now be required to start working Saturdays.

So, work hard and you get fucked. That's what the email said. Good at your job? We're taking away your rewards.

Mmmm, yeah. We're going to have to go ahead and ask you to come in on Saturday, and mmmm, again on Sunday. Yeah.

Actor Shatner sells kidney stone.

Now that's comedy.

I have this $75 ThinkGeek gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket. Fortunately, it looks like the PA collectable card game will be sold there recently and I think I'll be picking that up. I mean, one of the attack cards is called Polysylabic and has Tycho screaming the word in vicious anger at the sky like some special attack from an anime. It makes me giggle.

WoW is all consuming. My druid is rediculously fun in PvP. I've almost reached the gear balance that provides mobility, damage, and mana pool. My travel form is as fast as a normal mount, my bear form can outlast any class but warriors, and catform is just rediculous.

Yet, I still find myself farming stupid faction while waiting in queue. I nearly have a thousand gold and nothing to spend it on as a result.

2006, "a world of crime and robots"?

The robots would be nice. We'll get the crime regardless.

I hope someone in CST-PST is reading this after I post. It would be like reading something from the future.

(there's robots!)
