Hmm...they've made some changes to blog since I was last here...aeons ago.

Work is crazy. Had another lateral promotion, so now I'm the highest level of phone-tech. I'm now the one of the guys that gets to decide if we give a customer what they want. It's an interesting balance of policy and customer sat, but you can do pretty much anything as long as you have a good reason.

The only people that can override my decisions are Corporate, and only if they call me on our hotline phone (the Batphone).

They've also 'updated' our systems here...so my MSN is broken, the mail is dead/dying (since Tuesday), I can't access the 2 new programs I need for my new job, and they content blocked Penny-Arcade. Bitches.

I've been playing excessive amounts of City of Heroes. Haven't played Martial Martian for a bit, so he's still level 14. I made a Defender (equivalent of a Cleric) called Dr. Sarcophagus, and a Controller (AoE and Crowd Control) called Chance of Rain who is much less original than the other two, cosmetically.

I started playing Manhunt when all the guildies had gone to bed from CoH. It's entertaining in a stupid-console kinda way. The direction, immersion, and camera effects are stunning. As for the weapons...well, I don't want to ruin the surprises, but you can cut off body parts with some of them and then use those body parts as tools. The atmosphere doesn't have the intensity I was expecting (I was looking for an AvP kinda thing) - most of the villains are too cartoony and over the top to be scary and you can almost always escape situations.

Hunting humans is still my favorite sport, and there should be more of this type of game...with multiplayer...and RPG elements...and customization.

Work has been insanity since some script kiddie decided to exploit one of the swiss-cheese-like holes in a certain MS brand OS...we've also been changing processes and moving desks and getting long calls on closing shifts...

Long story short, I haven't played a game in 3 or 4 days, and games take priority over posting in my blog for the 5 people that read it :)

Speaking of games, CoH is good still...finally tasted some of the CONTENT the other day, and it was good. By the time I start to get bored of it, they will have released the first expansion and it should continue to be 'good'.

I have to cancel my Rogers account shortly to save myself paying for internet and TV that's no longer being used. All I have to do is take back the modem, but it's going to kill my Rogers email and thus destroy all hope of ever getting into closed WoW beta. Argh. Looking on the bright side, I do have other stuff to play, and gobs of anime to watch.

Including Manhunt which is just sitting on my computer waiting to be installed. Thief 3 went gold early this week. Guildwars Alpha is to be played online in 5 days. I have a couple games that came with my video card that I still haven't touched. I wouldn't mind playing some Starcraft with people I haven't seen in...2 years, but alack, only if they're ready to play at 4AM when I get home from work.

A nice side effect to the horrible work schedule is that I'm rich, and even after I get new glasses, sunglasses, clothes, birthday gifts, new mouse, groceries, rent, and 13$ movie tickets, I'm STILL rich.

So that's my update from slow-ass work. It took a full week, but most agents have learned how to follow the simple steps to remove the Sasser, and thus we still have volume, but it's being handled by the first tier...which is how it's supposed to work.

My registration for the A+ course just went through, so I'm off to read all the online material.
