It's Story Day!
December 7th 1941. CIA has been aware of impending attacks from Japanese forces and has advised government to be on alert. "But why?", says the Government. "The Japanese Ambassador is here right now having a nice polite conversation with us. Why would they attack us?".
BLAMO. Pearl Harbour gets raped by Japanese aircraft. Twice. They sink almost the entire Harbour, kill hundreds of men who had no warning and had thus been sitting on their asses reading Playboy. Japanese Commander decides not to make 3rd run (minutes apart) on the Harbour repair docks, Submarine docks, and Fuel Depot. The reason for that was simply because they were so amazed that the U.S. had put up no resistance and expected their luck to run out. Or maybe the guy didn't like exploding defenceless suckers.
Commander of Pearl forces stands in awe at destruction. He knows he's fucked and there's nothing he can do about it. Shortly afterwards he is made the scapegoat of the Government. Afterall, you can't have the masses knowing that your leaders are fucking retards, so they blame the giant fuck up on a guy who was a good soldier and thus put a stop to any massive impending investigations.
MEANWHILE, six hours after the attack, some dumbfuck three-star General commanding a U.S. aircraft base in the Philippines is made aware of the Pearl attack. His orders: Send out his massive force of 100 B-17s (Heavy bombers) and 200 lighter attack planes to the preordained targets on the Japanese Formosa Island. What does he do despite constant badgering by his officers? Nothing. Later he orders his planes into the air while he decides his action. He then lands the planes for lunch.
An hour later a massive force of Japanese planes attacks, once again raping the U.S. forces, mostly grounded aircraft and pilots. They defend themselves with handguns and hide in trenches. Almost all of the U.S. aircraft are destroyed, a few hundred more soldiers killed. The Japanese are amazed again. The General, at his secure home a few miles away gets the news.
FORTUNATELY for him, he knows a few people in the government and there is no inquisition. Infact, they award him a Medal of Honour and give him another star. He is never asked why he didn't follow his orders. His fuckup and loss of planes results in massive attacks and conquering of U.S. forces in the Philippines. The Japanese take thousands prisoner and subject them to prison camps for the length of the war. He caused the death and suffering of thousands of his own people...and you know what? He ends up being the U.S. leader assigned to Japan once they surrendered. He was the fucking American Emporer.
And what happened to the Commander at Pearl? Oh, he spent the rest of his life branded as the reason the U.S. was attacked and why they were forced into war. He died fighting to have his name cleared.
Parallels? A few, but I'm ranting! No time to point them out! Back to the Future!

It's not the first time a Pres went on TV and told a lot of people a flat out lie and it sure as hell wouldn't be the last.
So, what does Mr. Bush say? "Iraq is evil". Why? "Because they are importing alluminum tubes!". Wow, and those could ONLY ever be used for refining uranium. "Yeah and they also tried to buy uranium!". Actually, someone, probably the CIA tried to SELL them Uranium and they refused to buy it. We found this out BEFORE you went to war with them. It was on the NEWS, so why didn't you hear about it? "But he's been evil in the past!". Oh. Well, let's go attack Castro then. And the Germans, too. They've been 'evil' in the past. "He has links to terrarists!". For fuck's sake, its TERRORIST not TERRARIST. And where is your proof? I bet you can find a lot of links to terrorists in the U.S. too. Why don't you bomb yourself a bit? "They already have weapons of mass destruction!". WHERE? HOW? You've sanctioned them so much that they can't get fucking Aluminum TUBES let alone anything that might be used to make a weapon more powerful than a firecracker. You sent in all kinds of Inspectors and they have found nothing. Iraq has cooperated with you despite your insanely insulting attitude. Then what? You ORDER the LEADER OF A COUNTRY who has COMPLIED with you to EXILE HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY or you will KILL HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE and come after him!
Who is the villain here? Either Bush was incredibly misinformed (and is thus a retard) or he is a fucking puppet for some maniacle mastermind (Stalin?).

Example: right now the American Channel (CNN) is saying that they think the problem was in the CIA. Right now it's the CIA's fault. The CIA also knew that Terrorists were planning something bad back before 9/11 but that 'probe' never turned up any specific cause. More recently the story has changed to "The CIA couldn't have done anything to stop it." Which is probably true but just as likely means that all the necessary scapegoats have been implicated and have had all their lives ruined.
The President is convienently out of town while all this shit is happening. He's off talking about peace in Africa while eyeing up their oil. So it will be some time until he gets back, at which point they will have figured out who they are going to blame for not finding weapons. Then he will make a speech, maybe apologising, but I doubt it. He will find someone to blame and ride them all the way down.
MEANWHILE, the mother fucker will still condemn his 'Coalition' soldiers to ambush and torture deaths in an country he shouldn't have fucked with in the first place, regardless of what 'proof' he had. Every few weeks he'll increase the bounty on Saddam's head.
But really, what right does he have to do that? What allows him to capture and detain the Iraq government? There's NO weapons, evidence...nothing. You can arrest someone in the States for a brief period of time for questioning, but you have to charge them with something or you are abusing the Law. But that's in the States. Who's to police the leader of the most powerful country in the world? The UN? He's alread told them to fuck off and the UN did.
The world is letting a lying, abusive bully to walk all over them.
The UN needs to get in gear and step up to the U.S. and make them follow the rules that the UNITED NATIONS of EARTH have made, or expell them. The fact that an organization like the UN is letting a bigger country beat the fuck out of a country who has been PROVEN to have done nothing wrong, is ghastly. It confuses the FUCK out of me how the U.S. is getting away with this. I realize that most leaders are happy to see Saddam removed, but at what cost?
The U.S. KNOWS they were/are doing wrong. That's why they threw so many cheap shots at Canada and Germany. Like a school-yard bully, they find the weakest victim they can and pummel them. France got the brunt of it this time, once again turning the eye on politics at what France was doing to oppose the U.S. instead of what the U.S. was actually doing. Canada and Germany and other countries were opposing the U.S. just as much, but the U.S. simply couldn't find a way to politically attack us like France. Well, besides declaring Britain their new best friend (more like Hench-Goon. "Hrm, these Canadians aren't as pliable as in the past. Let's ditch them for a country with a stronger military!"). Good riddance, I say, they can take the Brits down with them.
I pity every dumbass U.S. and Brit soldier that thinks he's giving his life for their country. I'm extremely happy that no Canadian's are there wasting their precious time, energy and lives because of the leader of the most powerful dictatorship in the world.
I really don't think of myself as Patriotic, but some events trigger surprising feelings. I am so PROUD to be a Canadian. A citizen of a country known as America Jr., but a citizen of a country who's leader stood up to a giant power, ignoring the financial and political consequences, and told that country flat out that we would not help them. We are our own god-damn country, and we have our own leader who reflects our values and way of life and shows the world that we are NOT a country of U.S. Yes-Men.
